About Emergent Curriculum
Children learn best when their interests are captured through expressive arts and long term projects. Teachers start the process by questioning the children about what they’re interested in. The answers to those questions – or to random questions children ask that show their curiosity about a subject-become the focus of each project. Since the child chooses the topic of interest, the project becomes a passion more than an assignment.
About The STEAM Method
Our teachers infuse the STEAM method into the curriculum to prepare children with skills needed for their future success. Skills such as thinking creatively, solving problems, taking risks, strengthen with a hands-on approach teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. We understand that with learning these subjects it isn’t just about memorization. It is in understanding the why – and in exploring that factor hands-on, children can better grasp how things work and learn to invent and create using these newly acquired concepts.
